Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God from the fish's belly. And he said: "I cried out to the LORD because of my affliction, And He answered me, "Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, And You heard my voice. Jonah 2:1-2 (NKJV)
A Prophetic Word:
"A Valuable Lesson in a Difficult Place"
Jonah saw his situation inside the fish as having been buried alive. Imagine your life faced with such horror and terror. It would seem like a nightmare from which you would want to wake up. Indeed, Jonah was in a difficult place.
When we think of this valuable lesson, we know that the Master Teacher is not limited to a class with tables and chairs. This time, the belly of a fish is the background for instruction that only God could teach. This valuable lesson, with supernatural revelation, is a prophetic word that we can overcome despair through God.
As we understand Jonah's lesson is the result of disobedience to God, like we all have done at times, Isaiah 59:1 reminds us, "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear." Like God heard Jonah, He'll hear your cries in difficult places.
