Thought of the Week

WEEK 42

When you are really in need of a miracle, you must hear what others are not hearing, do what they are not willing to do, and expect what they are not expecting.

St. Mark 10: 46 - 52 (NKJV)

WEEK 41

Many times in life we question when is it our time to be blessed.  We get discouraged watching others who seem less dedicated receive the blessings we've been praying for.  Don't give up...hold on...your set time will come and who knows this may just be your time to be blessed! Refer toSt. John 5:1 - 9.

WEEK 40

In effort to simplify our ministry process, this week our church unveiled its new mission statement: "To know God, to love and to serve". As you seek to simplify your life in this complex world, use Jesus as an example. Although, He was profound, He used simple methods of conveying His messages.

St. Matthews 22:34-40 is one example of Him making what appeared to be a complex issue simple.

WEEK 39

Life's challenges test our faith in God, but the end result is always a testimony. Without a test there can be no testimony. So when your faith is tested and tried, give God the praise for the testimony headed your way!

Psalm 37:23 - 25 (NKJV)

WEEK 38

We, as David, have gone through stressful and agonizing times in our lives; but God delivered us out of our despair.  Now, in return, we live our lives daily as grateful worshippers!

Psalm 116:12 - 14 (NKJV)

WEEK 37

We are creatures designed by God to worship and to praise Him.

Psalm 34:1 - 8

WEEK 36

True worship is not what you do after you have been blessed, or what you do when you want something from God…worship is who you are as a child of God. It is because of relationship, not need.

WEEK 35

Inspite of what some would have you to believe, everyone at some point needed a second chance.

Psalm 51:1-4; 9-13 NIV

WEEK 34

No matter how blessed or anointed, there are times in our lives when we find ourselves in the midst of an emotional crisis, when we have to encourage ourselves through the process.

I Samuel 30:6

WEEK 33

When we as ordinary believers trust God as we walk by faith, just like Goliath all of our giants will fall.

I Samuel 17: 45 - 50 NIV

WEEK 32

With the anointing on your life, as an ordinary person you will accomplish extraordinary things.

I Samuel 16:1; 6 -13 (NIV)

WEEK 31

Your latter will be far greater than your past!

WEEK 30

Strive earnestly to hold on to the Glory. Without it we are spiritual vagabonds.

1 Samuel 4:18-22 (NIV)

WEEK 29

Remember that as we travel through life's journey, on our way to what God has promised, we should always seek His glory, which is His divine presence. Show me your glory!

WEEK 28

“Not only does the lack of faith keep us out of heaven, but it can also keep us from living victoriously here on earth."

Hebrews 11:33-34 (NIV)

WEEK 27

"It is important to remember, as we battle the enemies of our faith, we can overcome them by the power of our own words."

Psalm 107:2(NKJV)
Psalm 91:2(NKJV)

WEEK 26

"As we face life's struggles, it is important to understand that we can overcome them all "By Our Praise'". II Chronicles 20:1 - 22 (NKJV)Z

WEEK 25

Every trial and struggle you've come through serves as a living witness (testimony) of the awesome power of God.  Use your testimony as a weapon against the enemies of your faith.  Revelations 12:10 - 11(NKJV)

WEEK 24

"Don't Help the Devil" — Apostle Floyd Nelson

WEEK 23

Your testimony is a weapon against the enemies of your faith. Rev. 12:10-11

WEEK 22

No matter what success we are blessed to obtain in life, we must not get lifted in pride, which leads to destruction.

Proverbs 16:18 (NKJV)
Daniel 4:28 – 34 (NKJV)

WEEK 21

Because we are children of God, when we find ourselves in distress somewhere in our Garden of Gethsemane, we too can fall on our knees and cry out, “Abba Father”!

Romans 8:15 - 17
Ephesians 4:6

WEEK 20

None of us are saved because of our good works, but that we may be able to do good works. Ephesians 2:9

WEEK 19

When are hearts are heavy and we need God to act on our behalf, we should do as Hannah did,  turn our plate down and go into prayer. (I Samuel 1:10)

WEEK 18

What a glorious and wonderful assurance that we as believers have. We do not have to go through life feeling hopeless and defeated; help is available to carry us through all of our trials and tribulations."

WEEK 17

"When things do not happen the way we desire them to, we should not become discouraged to the point that we give up, or quit the journey. We should always remember that “His grace is sufficient".

WEEK 16

When we say God covers us, we believe that He intervenes on our behalf. He is perhaps the only thing that stands between us and total destruction, as stated by the Prophet Jeremiah in Lamentations 3:22, “Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not.”

WEEK 15

When we become discouraged because of what we may be going through, we should reflect on what the Apostle Paul writes to the church in Corinth.

“… God is faithful, who will not allow you to go through anymore than you are able to endure…” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

WEEK 14

As we enter Holy Week and trace Jesus's journey on The Road To Resurrection, do we really know Jesus and recognize His purpose is to bring eternal salvation?

WEEK 13

Despite what's in your peripheral vision with circumstances surrounding you, hold firm to the promises of God (His Word).  Remember, you walk by faith and not by sight. It's not what it may appear to be, but what God says it is. Read 2 Corinthians 5:7 (Amplified Bible).

WEEK 12

"We must resist the spirit of ungratefulness and always remember what the Lord has done in our lives." Read the Gospel of St. Luke 17:11-19.

WEEK 11

During these uncertain times, know that you can make it through your Night time experiences.  This is just a temporary situation.  Be encourage knowing weeping may endure for a Night but Joy will come! Psalm 30:5 will give more insight into the message.

WEEK 10

As we go through our personal crises of life, and find that our backs are against the wall, if we would do as King Hezekiah did and turn our face to the wall, God will do for us as he did for Hezekiah.  He will not only deliver us, but will bless us with more. Read 2 Kings 20: 1 – 6 (NKJV) for more inspiration.

WEEK 9

Sometimes during a crisis, God will challenge us to act according to our faith and do something.

WEEK 8

One of the greatest demonstrations of faith is genuine expectation of a miracle in times of crisis. For more inspiration, read St. Mark 10:46-52 (NIV).

WEEK 7

It takes unshakeable faith to sow or plant during a time of famine, trusting that there will be a harvest in spite of the current circumstances. Read Genesis 26:1-3;12-14 (NKJV).

WEEK 6

We often look for proof or evidence that something works before we take a chance on it. But the Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that "Faith is the substance of things hope for, the evidence of things that are not seen." So if it needs proving, if the evidence has to back it up, or if it must be seen first, then it is not faith.

WEEK 5

"God is a God of restoration and resurrection.  However, in order to receive this wonderful blessing of restoration and resurrection, we must hear his word and walk by faith.  Yes, these bones can live!!"

WEEK 4

This year as as we go through our trials and tribulations, let us stand on unshakeable faith declaring as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, "God Is Able". Read Daniel 3:1418 (NKJV)

WEEK 3

This year, as we face what appear to be hopeless situations in addition to new challenges, our faith will be demonstrated by our responses. We, as the Shunnamite Woman in faith, will speak hope by declaring, "All Is Well", no matter what the circumstance.

WEEK 2

As we deal with changing circumstances, it is important that we do not lose faith and that we have the testimony of Abraham, declaring we are fully persuaded (absolutely convinced) that what God promised, He is able to perform.

WEEK 1

So throughout this year when we speak of “Unshakeable Faith” we are declaring that we are so confident in what we believe and who we believe in, that we will not be shaken no matter what the circumstances are around us.
