The Legacy Began
Bishop Jackson envisioned the church as a force for good that extended past the Sunday worship hour.
Under his leadership, the church established programs to minister to young people, senior citizens, those in poverty, and those who simply needed a helping hand.
Through his sermons Bishop Jackson applied biblical lessons to everyday life. In the early 1970′s, Bible Way Church of Atlas Road was one of the first churches to broadcast its services on local radio.
Upon his death in September 2006, Bishop Jackson was remembered as one who “was always working, always leading, having a vision for the community, having a heart for the people”.
