Psalms 124, the Todah (a song of thanksgiving) was written by David perhaps after God delivered him from danger. Whether the source of threat was foreign or domestic is not important. The key here is to understand that peril came upon him suddenly. As a matter of fact, David likens the anger of his enemy to uncontrollable raging waters (verses 4-5).
In spite of the snare that had been set, David recognized that God would provide an escape. Hence, he chose to have a grateful heart and praise God.
Remember, Jesus will calm the storms of life; fret not, God will send help.
