Children and Youth Development

The Office of Youth Development strives to effect real change in the lives of children and youth 6 months old to 19 years of age by providing opportunities for participation in education, training, and activities which will empower them to live continually victorious Christian lives.

The OYD’s primary goals are: 

  • To connect with children and youth by providing their family with a welcome and introductory packet from the Office of Youth Development
  • To provide opportunities for children and youth to discover and present their talents and skills with confidence
  • To plan and conduct supervised activities and trainings that will provide opportunities to enhance or create spiritual, personal, social, and recreational development
  • To provide opportunities for children and youth to participate in community service projects as well as outreach and evangelism efforts
  • To provide opportunities for parental involvement through parent education, training, volunteerism, and information sharing

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America, under the Office of Youth Development, provide activities designed to build self-confidence, teach life skills, develop leadership potential, and provide opportunities for community service.

Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry provides Bible teaching and trains children ages 3-11 in church ministries, protocol, and etiquette.

Girl Scouts

The Girl Scouts provide activities designed to build self confidence, teach life skills, develop leadership potential, and provide opportunities for community service.

Nurturing Ministry

The Nurturing Ministry provides child care services for children ages 6 months – 2 years during church services.
