The Harvest Sermon One: “Help Wanted!” Matthew 9:35-38 (NIV) It has been said that perhaps one of the most disheartening things for farmers is to watch their crops die in the fields or on the vines simply because they can’t find enough workers to help harvest them. From a spiritual perspective, it saddens me to say that we have a very similar situation. There are souls ready to be harvested, but unfortunately, there aren’t enough faithful workers available.
